*Chlorhexidine soap - antibacterial, antiseptic and antimicrobial soap for topical use; works by killing a variety of germs, bacteria and fungi on contact and continues working even after rinsing. Do not use on eyes, in mouth or on genitals.
**Manuka honey - Applied topically, Manuka honey effectively treats superficial cuts and abrasions, burns, ulcers, and non-healing wounds. Non-toxic if ingested. Can be applied sublingually (under gums) if a dog has become hypoglycemic.
***Benadryl 25mg tablets - Adult Benadryl tablets are a safe, generally well-tolerated antihistamine for dogs (Merck’s Veterinary Manual, 2023). Benadryl dosages are weight-specific (2-4 mg of Benadryl per kg of dog’s body weight up to 2-3 times per day) and should be given only at the recommendation of your veterinarian. Do not use children’s Benadryl as it may be coated with Xylitol, an artificial sweetener that is toxic to dogs.
****Paracord - Multifunctional survival tool. Can be used as a makeshift leash, to secure a splint or sling, disarm Conibear hunting trap springs or securing a dog to a stretcher.
*****All-purpose flour - Clotting agent for bleeding or ripped nails.
